Invenergy, the company bringing forward the Pencloe Wind Farm project in East Ayrshire, have now signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement with the 9CC Group in East Ayrshire for the distribution and management of Community Benefit Funds released from the project once it is operational.

The 9CC Group officially launched at Dumfries House on 27 October 2023, with an amazing turn out of over 150 guests from the 9 communities.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed Friday 23rd June between Knockkippen Wind Farm Ltd and a local community trust, that could see an annual community benefit fund of up to the equivalent of £300,000, should the project be consented.

An application for a wind farm and battery storage facility on land west of New Cumnock, East Ayrshire has been granted consent by Scottish Ministers.
