What an amazing evening at the 2024 Ayrshire Business Awards – shining a welcome spotlight on so many exceptional individuals and businesses.

It was an honour to be surrounded by so much talent and inspiration and I applaud everyone involved in making this an event Ayrshire can be proud of.

The 9CC Group were delighted just to be nominated, but it was a surprise and truly humbling on the night to receive the Community Wealth Building Award for the work we do on behalf of our communities. That recognition is for the brilliant endeavours of the team and for all our supporters who have helped put our charitable organisation on the map.

The category recognises and celebrates innovative projects and organisations that are making significant contributions to building wealth within Ayrshire through sustainable, inclusive, and purpose-driven activities. It also highlights those pioneering new pathways for community prosperity, environmental sustainability and social equity.

The acknowledgement of our vision to use windfarm community benefit to create a lasting legacy for our former coal mining communities and a better place to live work and play and visit gives us a welcome boost.

The most important part, however, was seeing almost 500 people brought together at the Ayr Racecourse to acknowledge and celebrate Ayrshire business. Congratulations to The Ayrshire Chambers of Commerce, and headline sponsors Business Gateway Ayrshire, for promoting, organising and funding such a great event
